Teaching
I began working with analog photography in 2018 with a second-hand Canonet QL 19, learning through manuals, PDFs, and online videos. Over time, I developed an interest in experimental film processes, discovering techniques like “Film Soup,” which has been central to my practice since 2020.
Since then, I’ve expanded into camera-less photography, Phytogram, Lumen Print, Chemigram, and Cyanotype, and cinema with Super 8 and 16mm film. Gradually, I learned through experimentation and developed ways to make experimental analog processes more approachable.
I aim to make these processes more accessible and sustainable through workshops, courses, lectures, and mentorships that merge theory, practice, and experimentation. I have taught both in person and online, sharing knowledge with students from Brazil, Peru, the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Portugal, Germany, Taiwan, and Yemen.
Art education allows me to take my work beyond the gallery and contribute to participants’ artistic practices. Through dialogue, curiosity, and collective learning, we discover new ways of seeing and growing together.

Upcoming Online Workshop
Experimental Photography: Film Soup and 35mm Interventions
Santa Fe Workshops
January 14 - February 18, 2026
Wednesdays, 5:00 – 7:00 pm
Join me in this new online workshop as I walk you through Film Soup and other analog interventions on film negatives. A playful, expressive, and often unpredictable approach to working with 35mm film.
Over five sessions, you explore the chemistry and materials behind each approach, learn safe handling practices, and receive guidance through live demos, lectures, group discussions, and project-based assignments. Film Soup is a process that physically alters undeveloped photographic film using common household ingredients such as lemon juice, salt, soap, or ink. The results are unexpected and often surreal.
Learn how to prepare and shoot film specifically for this process, send it out for development, and scan it for review and discussion. A list of labs that accept film soup rolls is provided, along with scanning options, including smartphone scanning methods for those without access to a scanner. Alongside Film Soup, I teach a range of other creative interventions on 35mm negatives, including scratching, bleaching, hand-coloring, drawing, and collage.
