Revista Rosa

2024 and 2025

Launched during a moment of intense political tension in Brazil, Revista Rosa emerged in 2020 as an act of intellectual and cultural resistance. The magazine brings together essays, literature, artistic practices, and theoretical reflections to confront authoritarianism, defend critical thought, and reaffirm the importance of democratic debate. Rooted in a tradition of dissent and imagination, Rosa positions itself as a space where thinking becomes a form of resilience and where culture plays a central role in resisting neo-obscurantism.

Across two volumes of the magazine, I created the photographic illustrations that accompany the texts. The images were developed as subtle visual counterpoints—textures, pauses, and small disruptions that resonate with the themes explored throughout each issue. More than illustrations, the photographs aim to expand the magazine’s critical and poetic atmosphere, offering a visual dialogue that echoes Rosa’s commitment to reflection, clarity, and the possibility of new forms of thought.
